CLOTHED WITH GLORY

I don’t think Jesus goes to every church meeting, but He goes where He is honored as a King and welcome to move freely among us. When He does attend, His glory comes with Him. People are attracted to His glory. I have found that many people are willing to drive for an hour just to experience a few minutes of it. His glory is one of several things that indicate the Kingdom of God is near or that the King is present. You can see it or sense it in the following ways:

The glory of God will be evident whenever the King is present.

We should not be seeker-sensitive, trying to draw people and making them comfortable. However, if we can get the King to come, people will always be attracted to our meetings, even if they are not comfortable. We need to seek the King. People will want to be in His presence. There’s something about the King being that spark something in us.

This study has helped me understand the glory of the Lord. For me, I needed to see a practical purpose for it. What is it for? What does it do? How does it change us? I needed to see the glory at work in the lives of people like Moses, David, and Isaiah. I have also isolated a few stories from the lives of John Wimber, Jack Hayford, and Charles G. Finney. I will also tell a few stories from my own experience with the hope that it will help you grasp the wonder of His presence, and the effect of the King’s glory in our lives and churches.
